Q

paravertebral pathway:

A

synapse at paravertebral chain ganglia

  • ganglionic neuron in t1 to l2: midbody
  • inferior, superior, middle cervical, synapse ganglia there that target heart head
  • sacral, synapse there for lower limb + reproductive organ

Q

autonomic sensory fibres

A

sensory from visceral travel via autonomic fibre via dorsal root ganglia together with somatic fibres (same pathway as somatic sensory)

-> pain from visceral is revised as referred pain from somatic tissue
eg heart attack -> pain from shoulder
