In 1800 amercians that were 65 and older represented 4% of the population, in 2016, they represented 50% of the population.

1) It’s the baby boom generation getting older.

2) Women tend to have fewer children than in the past. —> fertility rate during the baby boom : 3,07/now : 1,76

A

The same problem as most “ advanced “ populations : they have to pay retirement pensions (retraite)

“In God we trust” Is printed on the dollar bill
The president swears on the Bible
God is mentioned in the national anthem
