stimulation test, try glucagon test first and if that doesn’t work then insulin stress test (uncomfortable for patient)

if you suspect steroid under production…
failure to diagnose can result in death, give patient cortisol immediately even before test results
primary hypothyroidism = COMMON
thyroid failure, usually autoimmune in nature
secondary hypothyroidism = RARE
usually part of complete pituitary failure
symptom of severe hypothyroidism
weakness, dry skin, cold, less sweating, impaired memory, constipation, weight gain, hair loss
hypothyroidism treatment = EASY
thyroid hormone replacement

male = testicular failure female = ovarian failure
SECONDARY sex hormone deficiency
