Management: daily bloods, stop hepatoxic drugs and take lactulose to remove ammonia, treat any underlying causes

A
Potentially reversible severe liver injury with no previous history of liver disease
Caused by drugs such as paracetamol, hepatitis A,B, C and E, Budd-Chari disease, toxins in mushrooms or herbal remedies, autoimmune, other causes such as Wilson’s disease or fatty liver in pregnancy
