  1. Justification by Faith Alone
  2. Bible was the only source of God’s teaching - vernacular
  3. No priests or hierarchy. He simply relied on ministers to preach the Scriptures “The Priesthood of all Believers”
  4. Replaced the Latin Mass with a Communion service in German
  5. Two sacraments- Baptism and Eucharist
  6. He believed in Consubstantiation and Christians believed in Transubstantiation
  7. Married clergy
  8. Indulgences, praying to statues and wearing of special clothing store were banned
