What is a operation plan?
Any plan for the conduct of military operations prepared in response to actual and potential contingencies (FM 6-0 C-14)
What is a supporting plan?
an operation plan prepared by a supporting commander, a subordinate commander, or an agency to satisfy the requests or requirements of the supported commander’s plan(FM 6-0 C-15)
What is a concept plan?
an operation plan in an abbreviated format that may require considerable expansion or alteration to convert it into a complete operation plan (FM 6-0 C-16)
What is a branch plan?
the contingency options built into the base plan used for changing the mission, orientation, or direction of movement of a force to aid success of the operation (FM 6-0 C-17)
What is a sequel plan?
the subsequent major operation or phase based on the possible outcomes (success, stalemate, or defeat) (FM 6-0 C-18)
What is a FRAGO?
abbreviated form of an operation order issued as needed after an operation order to change or modify that order (FM 6-0 C-20)
What is a WARNO?
preliminary notice of an order or action that is to follow to allow for preliminary preparation (FM 6-0 C-21)

Effect the coordinated execution of an operation (FM 6-0 C-22)
What does the situation paragraph describe?
describes the conditions of the operational environment that impact operations
What does the mission paragraph describe?
State the unit’s mission—a short description of the who, what (task), when, where, and why
What does the execution paragraph describe?
Describe how the commander intends to accomplish the mission
What does the sustainment paragraph describe?
Describe the concept of sustainment, including priorities of sustainment by unit or area (logistics, personnel, health service support)
What does the command and signal paragraph describe?
Location of commander, succession of command, and location of command posts
