24

WHAT IS A PT?

COMBINATION OF A P AND A WT, WITH THE PUMPING CAPACITY OF A PUMPER AND AND WATER CAPACITY SIMILAR TO A WT. SAME PRIMARY ROLE AS A PUMPER

25

WHAT IS AN UP?

SPECIALISED PRIMARY APPLIANCE THAT HAS A VERY LARGE PUMPING CAPACITY. MAINLY USED AS A HIGH CAPACITY PUMP FOR AERIAL APPLIANCES SUCH AS LP.

27

DEFINITION OF SECONDARY APPLIANCES

DO NOT HAVE A PUMP OR CARRY WATER.

HAVE SPECIALIST APPLICATIONS AND ARE NORMALLY USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH PRIMARY APPLIANCES AT LARGER FIRES OR FOR SPECIFIC INCIDENTS.
