A

-reformer

What were some effects of the Reformation?

A

HRE:
-Catholics & Protestants start to fight.
-Thirty Years’ War- series of war that involved many European countries
-Holy Roman Empire fell, land became independent states
-Peasants fight back
-2 Catholic officials were thrown out of a window in Prague
-King tried to make everyone Catholic by closing Protestant Churches

FRANCE:
-Huguenots- French Protestants, fought with Catholics for 20 years
-Saint Bartholomew’s Day- 3,000 Protestants killed on 9-24-1572
-Edict of Nants- created by King Henry IV, let Protestants live & worship in some cities, not all.
