CFA FSCC Notifications (7)

1. Any CAD services disruption, delays or interruptions to the services of Alarm Monitoring Companies, Telstra transfer of 000 calls, CAD, paging and any other issues that potentially could affect service delivery - including manual operations.
2. Calls for assistance of the JFAIP program where caller is distressed or requires immediate assistance
3. Request for the recall of CFA personnel, including career personnel, Duty Communications Officer, Duty IT personnel, Duty Media personnel, and Building and Property personnel.
4. Any request from the field for a spot weather forecast.
5. Where a CFA brigade is depleted of primary appliances during any incident in excess of 30 minutes, where a move up may be required.
6. Where RDO has authorised a dispatch to assist Police in fires or incidents involving a siege, civil disturbance, domestic situations, gaining access, utilisation of uniforms or equipment.
7. Where RDO has authorised dispatch to infectious or radioactive materials.

CFA FSCC Notifications (10 short)

1. Any request from the field for a spot weather forecast.
2. Where a CFA brigade is deleted of primary appliances during any incident in excess of 30 minutes, where a move up may be required.
3. Faults of CFA equipment of property
4. Where RDO cannot be contacted for any reason
5. Requests for notification of the Scientific Officer
6. Wrist tag information from hazmat incidents
7. Media enquiries
8. Notification of a Red flag warning
9. Notification events at ESSO Longford
10. Doubtful address events.

CFA FSCC and RDO notifications (10 short)

1. Fires or incidents involving asbestos
2. Fires or incidents likely to create high media involvement
3. Fires or incidents where fatalities or serious injury (as a result of fire) have occurred.
4. Fires or incidents at prisons
5. Confirmed explosions where brigades are requested to attend the scene
6. Confirmed aircraft accidents
7. Confirmed water vessel fires
8. Bomb threats where the brigade is requested by police to attend the scene
9. Requests for attendance of the coroner
10. Death or serious injury to CFA personnel.

RDO notifications prior to dispatch (same as first 7 MFB FSCC prior to dispatch)

1. Upon receipt of call from another ESO to assist with removal of a body or washaway after a fatality
2. Requests from police regarding utilisation of CFA equipment or uniforms for covert operations
3. Requests from police for assistance at an incident involving water vessels.
4. Incidents involving infectious or radioactive materials
5. Fires or incidents involving siege / domestic situation
6. Requests from police for assistance to gain access to a premise (other than lock in/out)
7. Requests from police for attendance at a civil disturbance.

9. Possible duplicate events where calltaker is unable to ascertain whether the reported event is duplicate
10. Events where information provided results in multiple possible locations
11. Requests to assist AV with patient welfare
12. All calls for assistance outside the SOP's

RDO notifications after dispatch (4)

1. Requests from the field for AIR SUPPORT and/or observation of fires or incidents.
2. Request for STRIKE TEAM from any Group Officer, Deputy Group Officer or Incident controller
3. MFB requests to MOVE UP a CFA appliance to an MFB station.
4. Where SPECIALIST equipment is from a DIFFERENT DISTRICT than the incident location.

When the FDI is > 35

What is a stand in appliance?

An additional appliance placed in a fire station when the regular appliance/s are unavailable for an extended period eg. Strike teams

Shell Refinery Major alarm response

- Respond as per the response table, full CFA code 1 response
- Geelong West pumper will respond code 3 to move up to Corio Fire Station.
- Respond CBELM to attend via CFA escalate.
- Notify RDO7 and the CFA FSCC

Shell Refinery minor alarm response

- Respond as per response table, full CFA code 1 response
response
- Geelong West pumper will respond code 3 to move up to Corio Fire Station.
- Notify RDO7 and the CFA FSCC

Shell Refinery Inspection response

- Update the event priority to 3
- Dispatch as per response tables
- Notify RDO7 and the FSCC

Workflow if an 'all clear' or 'stop' is received from Shell Refinery personnel

- Ensure all details are entered on the event chronology (usually done by Calltaker)
- Advise the radio operator to notify the OIC on Corio Pumper or the Incident controller. A message from Shell personnel is not considered an official wordback.

- Adhoc Recommend to the RDO CAD unit and notify RDO
- Notify CFA FSCC after dispatch

- Verify to the assembly point
- Respond as per CFA assignment rules
- Notify RDO and CFA FSCC

Bomb threat CFA - from other ESO or civilian

- Notify Pol via CAS using event type 591.
- Hold event for 60 minutes
- If no direction received from Police, close the event.

- If direction is received from police, dispatch to the assembly point.
- Notify the RDO and CFA FSCC
