General aircraft pre start precautions

A
  1. Wheels will be chocked, parking brake set.
  2. Intake screens shall be installed on jet aircraft.
  3. Surrounding ground/deck shall be inspected for FOD
  4. Aircraft with no parking brakes shall be tied down when starting for testing or warm up purposes.
  5. When an engine is started, personnel with adequate fire extinguishing equipment will stand by.
