The max growth of trees before they can be cut. In Canada this is 80 years
How do they manage forestry as a resource?
Split land into 80 parts and cut one per year, this is the allowable cut
Why is the forestry industry collapsing?
Our annual allowable cuts are double what they should be and this is unsustainable
Is second growth forest more or less biomass than old growth?

How do logging companies pay for the commons resource they are taking?
They pay a royalty based on log size
How do companies take advantage of the royalties?
They use the smallest logs as samples

Yes up to two years after

Over seas for manufacturing

About 30 million tons.
