clinically significant nausea and/or vomiting

- Known severe allergy
- age less than one year
- suspected serotonon syndrome

NONE

What is the dosage for ondansetron?
A
8mg IV once for an adult. See paediatric drug table for children.
4mg IM for an adult, if iv access cannot be obtained. See paediatric drug table for children. May be repeated once after 20 minutes.

A
Ampoule containing 4mg in 2ml
Ampoule containing 8mg in 4ml

What is the MOA for ondansetron?
A
Ondansetron is an anti-nausea medication. It blocks serotonin receptors in the brain and gut, helping to reduce nausea and vomiting.
