What are the clinical features of pancreatic cyst

A

70% are asymptomatic
Some pts present with abdo pain
obstructive jaundice
Cysts can become infected therefore would get systemic infection signs

A

Pancreatic pseudocysts - collection of fluid within a area of necrosis.

A

Most cysts are picked up incidentally on imaging + baseline bloods
CT pancreas
EUS with FNA

A
  1. Cyst diameter < 3cm
  2. Central calcification
  3. Asymptomatic

A
  1. Cyst diameter > 3cm
  2. Enhancing solid component
  3. Non-enhancing mural node
