Nouns

Noun - person place or thing.

Eg: person would be Sally. Sally is a noun. Other examples are Australia, table, happy, etc.

What is a preposition?

A preposition combines with a noun or pronoun to form a phrase that tells something about another word in a sentence. Eg: to, with, until, after, from, over, etc.

What is an adverb?

An adverb describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb. An adverb tells how, when or to what degree. (e.g. gently, here, now, very, etc)

What is an interjection?

An interjection expresses a strong feeling or emotion. It can be a single word or a phrase. (Eg: Help!, Oh!, Ouch!, Ugh!, Wow!, Ah!, Oh Dear!, etc)

What is a Pronoun?

A pronoun is used in place of a noun in a sentence. A pronoun may take the place of a person, place or thing.
(Eg: I, she, it, they, me, you, he, we, etc)

An adverb is a word or phrase that changes (slightly) the meaning of an adjective, verb, or other adverb, expressing manner, place, time, or degree (e.g. gently, here, now, very ).

An article can be used before a noun in a sentence. The words a, an and the belong to a special group of adjectives called articles. (Eg: a, a dog, an, an apple, the, the girl)
