They make their own food through a process called photosynthesis.
What are consumers ?
Consumers are animals that eat organisms to survive.
What are the reactants in photosynthesis ?
Carbon dioxide and Water
What are the products of photosynthesis ?
Glucose and Oxygen
What other 2 products are needed to photosynthesis ?
Light energy and chlorophyll
How do the reactants of photosynthesis get into of the plant and leaf ?
Water : Gets absorbed by the roots and diffuses up to the leaf.
CO2: Enters leaf through the stomata.
How do the products of photosynthesis leave the plant and leaf ?
Mainly all of them exits the plant cell through little holes, stoma, in the leaf
