poem Flashcards
(15 cards)
mother any distance
anchor. kite
an endless sky to fall or fly
eden rock
the sky whitens as if it was lit by three suns
they are waiting for me somewhere beyond eden rock
letters from yorkshire
our souls tap out messages across the icy miles
pouring air and light into an envelope
when we two parted
half broken hearted
pale grew thy cheek and cold
follower
it’s my father behind me who keeps stumbling and won’t go away
he rode me on his back
climbing my grandfather
like warm ice
without or rope or net
winter swan
like a boat righting into rough weather
they mate for life
loves philosophy
the mountains mingle with the river and the river with the ocean
the sunlight claps the earths and the moonbeams kiss the sea
before u were mine
you’d teach me the steps on the way from mass
marilyn
sonnet 29
my thoughts do twine and bud
i do not think of thee- i am too near
walking away
like a satellite. Wrenched from its orbit
into the wilderness
singh song
sit on my sliver stool from behind the chocolate bars
stumble like a drunk
farmers bride
we chased her , flying like a hare
like a frightened fay
neutral tones
sun was white as though chidden of god
smile on your mouth was the deadest thing
porphyria’s lover
mine mine
blushed bright beneath my burning kiss
