- Throughout the poem, a series of rhetorical questions to God and the reader.
- Last stanza, a repetition of the first.

Tone- creates confusion on the writer and changes to frustration as he questions the reader
Metaphor- Tyger is a symbol/metaphor of the industrial revolution.
Rhetorical question- Questioning gods creation and the reader.
Message about power in tyger
Power is unpredictable/potentially dangerous, power of industrial revolution/God. Message : Criticises power of industrial revolution and God, hopeless.

Tone and quote, tone of awe and disgust: “ A sneer of cold command” – Negative adjective makes tone even more critical of dictator
