A

A

A

They’re used in bullet proof clothing

They’re used in flame resistant materials and crash helmets

Why is Kevlar so strong?

A

The strongest intermolecular force in Kevlar is hydrogen bonding which forms between the nitrogen of one amide link and the hydrogen of another.
Kevlar chains are flat and can pack closely together
