Termination of small saphenous vein
Popliteal artery
Popliteal Vein
Tibial + Common peroneal (fibular) nerves
Posterior cutaneous nerve of the thigh
Popliteal lymph nodes + lymphatic vessels

Give the boundaries of the popliteal fossa

A

It is diamond shaped.

Superolaterally = Biceps Femoris

Superomedially = Semimembranosus + Semitendinosus

Inferolaterally = Lateral head of gastrocnemius

Inferomedially = Medial head of gastrocnemius

Posteriorly = Skin + popliteal fascia

Anteriorly = Knee joint

If we go deeper, superior = medial + lateral supracondylar lines of femur and inferior = soleal line of tibia.
