How should the light microscope practical take place?
A
1) Take a clean slide and use a pipette to put a drop of water in the middle of it, this will secure the specimen in place.
2) Take tweezers to place your specimen onto the slide.
3) Add a drop of stain if needed (if the specimen is transparent/colourless) to make it easier to see.
4) Place a cover slip onto the slide and press it down gently with a needle so that no air bubbles are trapped under.
