Envy - Pro 23:17; Pro 24:1,19,20; Psa 37:1,7-9; Psa 73:3; Gal 5:21

the oppressor - Heb. a man of violence. Ecc 5:8

choose - Pro 1:15-18; Pro 2:12-15; Pro 12:12; Pro 22:22-25

Envy -
[Pro 23:17 KJV] 17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but [be thou] in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
[Pro 24:1, 19-20 KJV] 1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. … 19 Fret not thyself because of evil [men], neither be thou envious at the wicked; 20 For there shall be no reward to the evil [man]; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

[Psa 37:1, 7-9 KJV] 1 [[[A Psalm] of David.]] Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. … 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

[Psa 73:3 KJV] 3 For I was envious at the foolish, [when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
[Gal 5:21 KJV] 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

the oppressor -
[Ecc 5:8 KJV] 8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for [he that is] higher than the highest regardeth; and [there be] higher than they.

choose -
[Pro 1:15-18 KJV] 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their [own] blood; they lurk privily for their [own] lives.

[Pro 2:12-15 KJV] 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil [man], from the man that speaketh froward things; 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of the wicked; 15 Whose ways [are] crooked, and [they] froward in their paths:

[Pro 12:12 KJV] 12 The wicked desireth the net of evil [men]: but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].

[Pro 22:22-25 KJV] 22 Rob not the poor, because he [is] poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: 23 For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. 24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: 25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
