A

‘conscious mind’ = tip of iceburg
most of mind is made up on unconscious mind
(biological drive, instincts, disturbing memories that have been locked + repressed)

Preconscious= slip of tongue (calling teacher mum)

A

ID - Operates on pleasure principle, unconscious mind + instincts (selfish + demands instant gratification)
EGO - reality principle, middle, reduce conflict between id and superego
SUPEREGO - Formed at end of phallic stage, based on morality principle
