What is IPT?

A
  • interpersonal therapy
  • believes that psychological symptoms (such as depression) are because of underlying problems we have with interacting with others
  • short term therapy that focusses on establishing and abolishing behaviours and thoughts that are making interpersonal relationships difficult
  • tends to be role-play and not involve homework
