Quiz 2 more specific Flashcards

1
Q

Explain the electrical system in general

A

APU which has 28 volts runs the PS2 (which then has 28 volts)
the PS2 will feed the power to PS2 but only when the bus tie connector is tied (which we manually do)
the PS1 and PS2 charge their respective batteries which have 24 volts
the PS1 and PS2 run the PE bus which also has 28 volts. although stuff can only go to the PE not the other way. it is a one way street.

Q

what is the rule on circuit breakers popping out

A

if they pop out and are deemed necessary to flight they may be pushed back in once. If they pop back out leave it. If they are not an emergency for flight leave them.

Q

What is the only power source can run everything

A

Ground power unit

17
Q

how do we charge our batteries with the ground power unit

A

the EXT BATT CHG ON switch must be turned

18
Q

When will the bus-tie contacter open automaticaly

A

above 29.5 V - below24.5 V

19
Q

what switch do you turn on to check B1 or B2

A

nothing is it hot-wired to the battery so you just turn a dial

20
Q

if you check B1 or B2 and leave the annunciator like that for a week what will be a problem when you go to fly next

A

the battery will be dead because that system is hot wired to the battery
