A
That population would grow faster than food supply.
People would go to war and die of famine causing population to decrease and return to normal.

A
However big population was, people would always produce sufficient food.

What is hydroponics?
A
Grows plants without soil, maximising crop yield.
Less water means less diseases.
VERY EXPENSIVE.

What are small-scale methods to be sustainable?
A
Permaculture = grow own food (autarky)
Urban gardens = empty spaces to grow food.
Allotments = socially sustainable and cheap.
