A
  • abt a being who cannot be investigated via science
  • same ppl, adopt view that truth = what we see via science + sense // therefore when ppl talk abt God, talkin abt being who can’t be seen , known this way smh
  • belief in intelligent designer = hypothesis / / evidence : creations such as conscious beings like homo sapien
  • it’s a rational pov . : may / may not be true / / neither irrational or unscientific

  • faith : abt passionate commitment + ppl are fully justified in belief of summat 2 be true via own experience
  • people can believe in God w passionate conviction yet the CERTAINTY = never experienced via reason
  • approach CAN be questioned : some argue that their faith = justification for torture of other’s (extremists) // v irrational

can be INTERESTED + DISNITERESTED BELIEF
interested : can hope for benefits from that belief
disinterested : a good thing that G exists in its own right just as friendship exists

- may believe that there IS a god > no god at all but NO VALUE ATTACHED ( unlike interested + disinterested)
