Parliament repealed Act of Six Articles.
Act to allow Dissolution of the Chanceries- stopped highly C practice- priests and prayers for the dead.
Treason Act repealed- discuss religion freely- allowed radical P and devout C to voice opinions and attack each other.

Cranmer publishes his first book of common prayer- P rewording and mass in English.
2nd- more radical and P- moved away from Transubstantiation belief and presence of a Jesus.

Act of Religious Uniformity- P book of CP compulsory
clergy could marry,
introduction of laws to stop enclosure of land by landlords- brought into religious debate cos seen by Somerset as greedy C landlords denying ordinary rural workers common land. Made Somerset unpopular.

Act of Uniformity (sat alongside 2 version of B of CP)- to enforce conformity.
Clergy told to stop wearing bright vestments-plain.
C stone alters- P plain wooden.

Cranmer published his 42 articles- descried theology of English Church. Followed Calvinist P ideas.
