When are mammary tumours common?

A

Significant tumor risk occurs around 7 to 8 years of age, and increases until 11 to 13 years of age, with malignant tumors having a mean age of development around 9 to 11 years

What leiomyoma is affected by spaying?

A

Vaginal leiomyomas occur almost exclusively in intact female dogs, and ovariectomy significantly decreases the incidence of recurrence even with incomplete surgical removal of the tumor.
