33

What does Dr Pi say about Wen Dai Tang - End Discharge Decoction?

this formula has more UPLIFTING herbs. Can also be used for bleeding. Fundamental pathology is SP Qi Def. Even thought Huang Qi is most uplifting herb - using Ren Shen instead bc it is more nourishing. Even thought there is SP Qi def, and probably damp as a result - can't leech out bc there is already damp. Only astringing herb is Jing Jie - using very tiny amount bc too much would further inhibit the SPs ability to lift. Stabilize and Bind herbs BLOCK the qi mechanism - so if there is QI def, need to use S&B very sparingly.
