Salbutamol Indications
A
-Bronchospasm secondary to asthma or COPD
- Prominent Bronchospasm secondary to airway burns and smoke inhalation
- Release syndrome following crush injury
- Hyperkalaemia with ECG changes

- Known severe allergy

Salbutamol dose, route, and prep
A
- Metered dose inhaler: One puff into MDI and spacer followed by 6 breaths
- Nebulised: 5mg repeat as required

A
- Works as a bronchodilator works as an agonist (stimulator) of beta 2 receptors
