A cell is something that has a certain job in an organism, whether it be a nerve cell or red blood cell they all have a job. There are also animal cells and plant cells.

This is where the respiration happens. Respiration is where the mitochondria transfers oxygen into energy.

Red blood cell adaptions
The red blood cells transfer oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide, they transport it to the lungs for us to exhale.
Nerve cell adaptions
The nerve cell sends out lots of mini signal to other parts in the organism to help them function.
Root hair cell adaptions
They speed up osmosis. This is because they have a large surface are.
Egg cell adaption
It is supposed to be fertilised by a sperm cell but it has a special cell membrane which makes sure only one sperm cell can fertilise the egg.
Sperm cell adaptions
It fertilises an egg cell. The head section is made of genetic information. The middle contains mitochondria to give more energy. The long tail is to help get to the egg cell.
Diffusion is where particles in an area of high concentration spread to go into an area of low concentration.
Rate of diffusion
The rate of diffusion is increased when: The distance is decreased, the surface area is increased and the concentration difference is increased.
This is where 1 cell splits into 2 cells. This is how bacteria is reproduced. Bacteria is reproduced quicker when given the correct conditions.
