A

Middle aged mother, who has children and is middle class.
This would affect mother’s more so as they can empathise with Claudia and the other women more as they have children of their own.
Reformers are socially aware and aren’t materialistic - they’ll donate.

How would Stuart Hall’s Reception Theory apply to this text?

A

Preferred - taken by mothers who have children of their own - the target audience - as they’ll donate.
Negotiated - Fathers who will be a bit less empathetic but still be able to kind of understand.
Oppositional - Young people and children as they’re naïve to the situation and the events in the world around them so they wouldn’t take much notice - and they can’t donate as they have no income.
