You can combine (보았어요 = 봤어요, 주었어요 = 줬어요) but 오다 must be 왔어요.
Irregular:
쓰다 = 썻어요.
줍다 = 주웠어요.
모르다 = 몰랐어요
부르다 = 불렀어요.
이다 = 였어요 or 이었어요
아니다 = (가) 아니었어요 or (이) 아니었어요.
