attach tube to oxygen source on wall. Adjust flow rate 4/L or whatever. Check to make sure oxygen is coming out of prongs. insert into nose. put gauge behind ears. check fit of cannula. Pt to take deep breaths through nose. reassess lungs, pulse ox, and RR.
