Q

Trapezius: Origin and Insertion

A

Origin: Superior Nuchal line, External Occipital Protuberance, Ligamentum Nuchae, Spinous Processes of C7-T12

Insertion: (Uppermost Fibers) Lateral Third of clavicle, Acromion Process, Spine of the Scapula
(Middle and Lower Fibers) Medial End of Scapula Spine

4
Q

Trapezius: Functions of Fibers

A

Upper: Elevate Shoulder
Middle: Retract shoulders
Upper + Lower: Rotate scapula (abduction of arm)

5
Q

Trapezius: Point of Action

A

On te shoulder but not the joint (does not cross joint)

6
Q

Trapezius: Innervation

A

Accessory Nerve Cn11/XI, c3 and C4 nerves

7
Q

Trapezius: Principal Blood Supply

A

Transverse or Superficial Cervical Arteries

8
Q

Latissumus Dorsi

A
9
Q

Lat Dors: Origin and Insertion

A

Origin (Principal): Spinous Processes of Tv7 down to back of the sacrum, from the crest of the ilium and from the lower ribs

Origin (Lumbar): Posterior lamella of the thoracolumbar Fascia, also fused to the tendon of the erector spinae muscles

Insertion: Tendon that inserts on the lesser tubercular ridge and intertubercular sulcus of the humerus

10
Q

Lat Dors: Actions

A

Extends adducts and medially rotates the Humerus

11
Q

Lat Dors: Point of Action

A

Acts on shoulder Joint (corsses joint)

15
Q

Lev Scap: Origin and Insertion

A

Origin: Transverse Processes of the upper 4 cervical vertebrae

Insertion: Vertebral Border of the scapula above the spine

16
Q

Lev Scap: Actions

A

Elevates Scapula

17
Q

Rhomboideus Minor

A
22
Q

Rhomboideus Minor: Origin and Insertion

A

Origin: Lower part of the ligaentum nuchae and spine of C7

Insertion: Vertebral border of scapula at the level of the spine

23

A

Dorsal Scapular Nerve

24
Q

Rhom Major and Minor: Primary Blood Supply:

A

Dorsal Scapular Vessels

25
Q

Rhom Major and Minor: Point of Action

A

Retract the shoulder by drawing the scapulae toward each oth

26
Q

Triangle of Auscultation

A

Void space between the scapula (lateral border), trapezius(medial border) and latissmus dorsi (inferior border)

27
Q
A
