What do the various colours signify on the pb switches on the overhead panel?
Amber - Indicates a system that has failed.
Blue - Normal operation of a temporarily selected system.
Green - System operating normally.
Red - Failure that may require an immediate corrective action.
White - Abnormal position of a pb switch or maintenance / test result indication.
What do you see if DMC 1, 2 or 3 fail?
Which screens do DMC 1 & 2 supply?
DMC 1: CP's PFD, ND & ECAM (both upper and lower)
DMC 2: FO's PFD & ND.
What happens if the Upper ECAM screen fails?
E/WD displayed on Lower ECAM. Press systems pb's on ECAM control panel to display various SD pages.
What should you do if both ECAM screens fail?
ECAM / ND XFR to move the E/WD to either the CP or FO's ND display.
What happens if the Captain's left EFIS screen fails?
PFD replaces ND on CP's right EFIS screen. To view ND, press PFD/ND switching pb.
What happens when an ADVISORY is triggered?
White ADV message box displayed on E/WD.
Associated system automatically displayed on SD and the affected parameter pulses green.
What indication follow a level 1 Caution?
Amber ECAM message on E/WD
What indication follow a level 2 Caution?
Single chime, Master Caution light, relevant SD page displayed on SD, Amber ECAM.
What indication follow a level 3 Warning?
Continuous repetitive chime (CRC), Master Warning light, relevant SD page displayed on SD, Red ECAM, relevant aural alert.
What is meant by Independent, Primary & Secondary failures?
Independent: Underlined failure(s) on ECAM.
Primary: Displayed as a boxed failure/title.
Secondary: * Failure displayed on bottom RHS of E/WD.
What is signified by a downward pointing arrow at the bottom or the EW/S or STS S.D.?
