Redundancy refers to what?

A

occurs when the job no longer is necessary, due to technological changes, restructuring, or merge. Unless redeployed the employee loses their job. It can be either voluntary of involuntary. Voluntary occurs when they are given opportunity for voluntary redundancy, involuntary is when the employee is asked to leave because their job no longer exists.

Dismissal refers to when the behaviour of an employee is unacceptable and become necessary to terminate employment of that employee.
Unfair dismissal occurs when employer is dismissed for discriminatory reasons.
