SMALL group which engages in face-face, emotion based interactions over a LONG period of time

LARGER more impersonal, goal orientated relationships for a limited time

social relationships that link an individual to others
What is a social institution?
organized beliefs and roles that establish how a society will meet the basic social needs
What is the functionalist theory?
