This made it so a person would be taxed a fixed amount, regardless of their income or property value

-Wets - centrist/right

To lower inflation, cut public expenditure, improve the economy and limit union power

Wanted to crush them through her own approach:
-Unions went against her ideology as she was extremely anti-socialist and anti-communism

She alienated conservative voters with the Poll Tax and her cabinet persuaded her to resign

The Poll Tax law was seen as unfair and regressive, leading to civil obedience and violence. This culminated with Thatcher resigning.
