Elizabeth gave in to the Puritans because she didn’t have enough Bishops and there weren’t enough Protestant clergymen to take their place.

Northern Earls broke into cathedrals and burnt Protestant bibles.

The goal was to free Mary queen of Scots from captivity.

To punish them Elizabeth used burning, hanging and execution which she’d never used before.
