Agape
is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love. It is the highest type of love, the best example being Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross to save humanity.
Atonement
is god being at “one”. Jesus healed the split between God and us by giving hid life on the cross.
Divine Command Theory
is the belief that something is right because God commands it.
Holy Spirit
is one of the three persons of the trinity. he is the power of God working in the world at the present time.
Incarnation
means in “flesh”. The belief that god became human in Jesus who id fully human and fully divine.
Inter-faith dialogue
is different religions speaking to each other. They explore common ground to understand and respect each other so that they can live in peace.
Messiah
means ‘anointed one’. The belief that Jesus was sent by God to save humanity.
Omnibenevolence
means ‘all-good’. God is all-loving and completely good, kind and caring.
Omnipotence
means ‘all-powerful’. God is almighty, unlimited and has the power to do anything that is possible.
Omniscience
means ‘all-knowing’. God sees and knows everything, so nothing can be hidden from God.
Resurrection
is the belief that Jesus rose from the dead after he was crucified. He conquered death on the third day and is remembered each year on Easter Sunday.
Trinity
is the belief that the one God is made up of three persons. these are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
