The difference in levels of development between more economically developed countries and less economically developed countries
Why might there be the development gap?
Unuseful land, landlocked, natural disasters, healthcare, education, corrupt government, war, natural resources
How to calculate percentage change?
(New amount −Original amount)/(Original amount)×100
Describe different correlations on graphs.
Positive : /
Negative: \
No: No line of best fit
Strong: Points are on or almost on the line of best fit
Medium: Points are relatively close to the line of best fit
Weak: Points are not near the line of best fit
Name all of the strategies to bridge the development gap
Develop by themselves
Aid
Charity
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
Explain Aid (Closing the Development gap)
Aid is the voluntary transfer of resources from one country (usually developed) to another (usually developing) for altruistic purposes
