How do you calculate an objects average speed?

Average speed = distance travelled divided by time taken

A man runs 100m in 20 seconds. How fast is he running?

100 divided by 20 = 5m/s

A man runs 200m in 45s. How fast is he going?

200m divided by 45s = 4.4m/s

When an object is moving the same direction at the same speed

It will not move because it can’t fly if the weight is the exact same as the thrust.

When the air is slowing something down.

You would have to apply force on the ground to stop but ice is very slippery
