Put them in a magnetic field range and they will attach to the magnet, each end will now be a pole and can attract other magnetic objects

A coil of wire with a current flowing through it
How many coils of wire does a transformer have?
State the equation which links the potential difference and the current of the coils in a transformer

Steps up voltage and decreases current
How does a step down transformer work?
Steps down voltage and increases the current
