What is Memory?

Infomation that has been stored and can be retrieved.

The processing of information in the memory system.

German philosopher: Created nonsense lists to measure the amount of  infomation remembered.

The amount remembered depends on the time spent learning, and additional rehearsal increases retention.

We retain infomation better when our rehearsal is distributed over time.
