Cut and Paste
the operation of moving a text. When you cut it is removed from original location.
Clipboard
temporary storage area for text and graphics that you cut or copy.
Drag and drop
moving selected text to new location by dragging it with the mouse
System Clipboard
holds just one item
Office Clipboard
hold up to 24 items. both always holds the last item copied to clip board.
Shortcut Key
function key (F1) or a combination of keys (ctrlP) that you press to perform a command.
Copying text

find and replace
allows you to do automatically search for and replace all instances of a word or phrase inducement -editing group- command, shift H
Spelling and gramer
searches document for misspelled words and grammar errors it flags possible mistake and suggest correct remedies- Review tab
research feature
allows you to quickly search reference sources for information related to a word or phase
thesaurus
used to look up synonyms (words that mean the same thing)- review tab/proofing group.
word count
-proofing group- lists the number of pages words characters and paragraphs
blog
short for weblog, an informal journal and available to the public on the internet.
Blogger
the person who creates the blog. you can configure WORD to link to link to your blog site.
hyperlink
text or a graphic the, when clicked, jumps the viewer to a different location or program insert tab/links group
prepare and command
includes tools for stripping a document of sensitivity information, for securing it authenticity changes once it is distributed to the public.
properties
view and modify the standard document properties and open the properties dialog box
inspect document
detected and remove unwanted private or proprietary information from a document
Encrypt document
add encryption to a document to make it more secure.
Add a digital signature
add an invisible digital signature to a document to verify its authentically and integrity
mark as final
indicate to readers that a document is read only and can not be edited.
run compatibility checker
check document for features that are not supported by previous versions of word.
