MMR
-measles, mumps, rubella
-2 doses if you haven’t had it or lack immunity
-don’t give if preg due to live virus
-anaphylaxis with neomycin=don’t give MMR vaccine
Tdap
-tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis
-every 10 years unless punctured by rusty nail after 5 years
varicella
-2 doses if no evidence of immunity
-no for preg
-not great for certain cancers, allergy to neomycin and gelatin, HIV, congenital immune issues, immunosuppressive drugs
PPSV23, PCV15 and PCV20
-PPSV = pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine
-PCV= pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
-follow recommendations, important for older adults
Hep A
2 doses for high risk individuals
Hep B
-3 doses for high risk who haven’t completed series
-following spacing precautions
Influenza
-1 annual dose
-inactivated flu vaccine for 6 months/older and preg
-recombinant vaccine good for 18/older
-live attenuated flu is nasal spray good for 2-49 yo that are healthy and not preg
Meningococcal vaccines
-MenACWY: admin for 16/older or those at high risk= 2 doses
-MenB: 16-23 yo 2 doses
reimmunize if remains high risk
HPV
-best prophylaxis before sexually active but helpful for many adults
-admin for 25-45 yo
-prevents new infections not existing so need 0-few partners to be effective
Zoster
-2 doses recombinant 50/older
-2nd dose 2-6 months after 1st dose
