Vision 2030 Flashcards

Q

What is vision 2030, what does it mean?

A

Since independence Jamaica’s physical landscape has been changing consistently. This is a direct result of population growth and development. The government saw it fit to educate the citizens while including national pride.

Vision 2030 Jamaica is the country’s first long-term strategic development plan and covers the 21-year period, 2009-2030. It embodies the plans and processes for the realization of a collective vision, encapsulated in the statement: “Jamaica, the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business.”

Q

What role can I Omari play to make vision 2030 a reality

A

A role I can play to help make vision 2030 a reality is by making and enabling the business community. Doing this will create a better economy for Jamaica to get us in higher advantage for vision 2030. I can also put ads on the TV or send it by mail to encourage persons to open more businesses so we can export more goods to other countries thus bettering our economy to be able to build more buildings, houses and more.
