  • Indication: MJ deficiency cold syndrome
  • Sx: Diarrhea w/ watery stool, nausea/vomiting, no thirst, loss of appetite, abdominal pain
  • Fx: Warm the middle, dispel cold, tonify qi, strengthen SP
  • T: Pale w/ white coating
  • P: Submerged, thing
  • Ingredients:
    Gan Jiang (King) 9g
    Ren Shen 9g
    Bai Zhu 9g
    Zhi Gan Cao 9g
  • taken with rice porridge to warm ST

  • Indication: 1) ST deficiency cold syndrome 2) Jue yin HA syndrome 3) Shao yin vomiting and diarrhea
  • Sx: 1) vomiting immediately after eating, acid regurgitation w or w/o epigastric pain, intermediate gnawing hunger (Cao Za) 2) Dry heaves or spitting of clear fluids w/ verex HA 3) vomiting and diarrhea, cold hands/feet, unbearable irritability that makes the paitient “want to die”
  • Fx: Warm the middle, tonify LV/ST, guide rebellious qi downward, stops vomiting
  • T: White, slippery coating
  • P: Thin, slow or thin, wiry

  • Indication: 1) Spasmodic pain due to xu lao (chronic fatigue) syndrome 2) Palpatations due to xu lao syndrome 3) Low-grade fever due to xu lao syndrome
  • Sx: 1) Intermittent, spasmodic abdominal pain that is relieved by warmth/pressure 2) Palpitation w/ empty sensation, upset and lusterless complexion 3) Sore extremeties w/ non-specific discomfort, hands/feet low-grade heat, dy mouth/throat

  • Sx: Severe cold pain in the chest/epigastrum/abdomen where the patient cannot tolerate being touched, unable to eat due to vomiting, cold extremeties, possible borborygmi
  • Fx: Warm the middle, tonifies MJ, guides rebellious qi downward, alleviates pain
  • T: White, slippery coating
  • P: Thin, tight or Slow, wiry

    Chuan Jiao (King) 6g
    Gan Jiang 12g
    Ren Shen 6g
    Yi Tang 6g
  • taken w/ rice porridge / only used in EXCESS cold
