1. Schematic Design (the circuit)

What are some PCB design guidelines?

Modularity
Top-down
Organized and logical

Group related items, use comments, draw short traces in the least number of layers

How does soldering work? Why is flux used?

After being exposed to air, it oxidizes and insulates against heat

Flux prevents rapid oxidation

What is arduino?

HW-SW package
Micro chip that needs to be programmed
Rapid prototyping tool

What is raspberry pi?

Single board computer
Linux based OS
used in robotics etc (since there’s an OS, can run more complicated Algs for AI)

Field programmable gate array
Programmable and flexible
Can design entire circuit

What is 3D printed used for? Requires?

Rapid prototyping

CAD model and must sand and smooth

What’s moulding?

Take a rigid structure and molten material that hardens

Usually two separate halves of an object

Interact through sense of touch using vibration, motion etc
